Serves critical needs of obese children in the Mississippi River Delta region of Arkansas. |
Outcomes
- Provided developmental screenings, evaluations and therapy, individualized consultations, healthy start curriculum, fitness program, parent resource library, caregiver workshops, car seat safety and information booths.
Lives Affected
98 children screened for developmental needs; 31 received direct services.
562 hours of physical therapy.
815 hours of occupational therapy.
10,000+ individuals exposed to educational materials.
Cost Effectiveness
The cost effectiveness of the project is maximized by collaborating with other organizations to utilize existing resources and services in order to avoid duplication of efforts and costs and to serve more children, families and child care providers.
