Health Education in Parenting program provides health education and access to affordable services in Springdale area. |
Outcomes
- Parents, educators and a Doula made 939 contacts with families.

Made 554 home visits providing education on prenatal and preventive health care, nutrition, exercise, safety, child development and substance abuse.

Attended 352 health-related appointments with family and assisted with transportation — e.g. medical care, food and WIC.

Provided childbirth preparation class for “Teens Only.”
Lives Affected
Served 80 families and 269 individuals.
Cost Effectiveness
Sustained and improved outcomes are more effectively achieved with one-on-one, intensive, family focused education services. This program resulted in increased participant knowledge and measurable behavior changes.
