Project Description: |
|
Provides paraprofessional training through Northwest Arkansas Disability Health Education Conference. |
Outcomes
- Conducted a three-day conference in which knowledgeable and experienced speakers presided over general and breakout sessions to discuss issues pertaining to the care of disabled individuals. Those attending received continuing education credits and service development hours, as well as networked with a cross-representation of different organizations and professionals who deal with the disabled population.
Lives Affected
460 conference participants.
Cost Effectiveness
Although actual conference expenses went over budget by roughly $5,250, the funds leveraged the purchase of non-consumable equipment which can be used for future training conferences. Thus the amortization of that equipment against future training conferences will result in a net savings of $4,583.
