Outcomes
- Engaged citizens in living healthy lifestyles and increased utilization of programs and services.
-
Provided evidence-based healthy lifestyle programs, education, resources and services to meet the needs of Boone County and nearby communities.
-
Increased the capacity, sustainability and effectiveness of the Center through partnership building and resource development.
Lives Affected
3,506 residents of north central Arkansas received services in 2007 by phone or in person at the Community Health Resource Center, almost twice the number served in 2006. 2,584 individuals attended instructional program in 2007, nearly four times the number in 2006.
Cost Effectiveness
The Center is becoming widely known as the ‘hub’ of community resources and referral services. It is where community members can go when any type of health or accompanying social issue comes up that can have a negative impact on their lives. The Blue & You funding has allowed us to create this network, linking needs with resources, saving our citizens time, money and potentially saving lives.
