Project Description: |
|
CPR/First Aid/ADED program provides mannequins and training materials for the DeWitt Campus. |
Outcomes
- The 120 students who have taken the CPR/First Aid classes have passed the skills test and have become certified.
-
The set of 15 Pediatric CPR/First Aid student workbooks and a set of 15 Heartsaver CPR/First Aid student workbooks are kept in the PCCUA library for use in classes.
Lives Affected
120 people have been trained in CPR/First Aid through the program with equipment furnished by this grant.
Cost Effectiveness
The program is extremely cost effective, as there is no need to purchase new supplies until the American Heart Association reviews and changes the guidelines in four years. Even at that time, the manikins and AED trainers will still be of use if they are well maintained.
