Outcomes
- 55% of KIDS FIRST children, who were overweight or at risk, reduced their BMI by end of intervention period.

Provided health education training, with continuing education units, to health professionals at a conference.

Brought the Childhood and Adolescent Weight Management Certification program to Little Rock to help certify dieticians.
Lives Affected
40 of the 60 program children reduced BMI.
640 physicians, nurses, dieticians, and social and education workers were trained.
50 dieticians received weight management certification.
Cost Effectiveness
Foundation grant helped leverage funding from other state institutions, such as the Arkansas Department of Health and UAMS College of Public Health.
