EncorePlus program is designed to reduce the Arkansas mortality rate of breast and cervical cancer. |
Outcomes
- Mammograms -- 95% of clients age 40+ reported screening at a rate that is 20-25% higher than the national and state average.

Access to low-cost or free medical services -- 90% of sample group receiving EncorePlus assistance reported that they acquired medical care in less than five weeks.
-
Financial assistance -- all the women referred to EncorePlus for transportation or financial help did indeed receive this assistance.

950 women.
Cost Effectiveness
Provided early diagnosis of breast or cervical cancer in 10 women, thus saving in the cost range of $800,000 to $1.5 million in treatment if cancer was detected in a more advanced stage.
